There is not anyone alive that will not openly admit they have had an issue with noise in a hotel. From a 3 to a 5 star hotel,they all have serious noise issues."J.D.Powers" spearheaded a survey on the hotel industry; Noise was the undisputed #1 complaint by all surveyed. This means there is a serious issue that plagues the hotel industry. Is it the lack of forethought during the conceptual stage of planning? Or the so called "value engineered" solutions imposed by the contractors? Maybe it is just the oversight of everyone involved? Whatever the cause, admittedly, something needs to be done. |
Acoustiblok 4.88 is the solution for dramatically reducing the sound transmissions through hotel walls, ceilings and floors. The unique linear attenuation that is created when Acoustiblok 4.88 is added to gypsum assemblies provides enhanced noise isolation at frequency ranges that gypsum inherently have deficiencies. This is why a wall with Acoustiblok 4.88 has a more linear (without dramatic dips and peaks) transmission loss than that of multiple layers of Gypsum or hybrid gypsum designs encompassing adhesives. Acoustiblok 4.88 can expedite construction schedules by allowing gypsum wall assemblies to replace concrete interior partition walls. These walls can be framed out in a 1/3 of the time as concrete block and plaster. These walls with Acoustiblok 4.88 are 200% less in overall weight than concrete block/plaster. Most of all, these wall assemblies can yield high levels of transmission loss in the audible range of dialogue, and everyday noises. This results in happy guests, ends noise complaints to management, and a high return on future bookings.
